813 S Atlantic Ave, Ocean City, MD 21842 (410) 289-4991
There’s no better place to learn how Ocean City grew from a small fishing village to a premiere resort destination than here at the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum. Along with learning about the station itself, you can also explore their permanent collection of exhibits. Sands From Around the World can help you discover which beach has sand that looks like pepper, The Boardwalk of Yesterday allows you to see nostalgic boardwalk scenes, The Aquarium Room is a saltwater exhibit that contains two 250 gallon and many smaller aquariums filled with interesting creatures indigenous to the Ocean City waters, and there are many other permanent exhibits to explore.
Special exhibits like the Little Keepers Day Room/Play Room, an interactive children’s discovery room where kids can play and learn what it was like to be a Surfman in the U.S. Life-Saving Service, are also available. Take some time to reminisce with our Ocean City Memories or let yourself travel back through time to join the heroic Surfmen of the US Life-Saving Service on a rescue mission all in one place.
